Javier is a Visiting professor in the Department of Economics at the Universidad de Alcalá, he is also an Associate Researcher at the University of Maryland.
Javier holds a Ph.D. in Economics and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering. He has carried out studies on consumer behavior, adoption of new technologies, market research, brand survival and synthetic population methods, among others. His field of expertise is Machine Learning, bridging the gaps between the spheres of Business/Economics and Statistics. He has developed Data Science projects for American companies, and worked in the consultancy sector in Europe.
